The headliner is Daniel Nainan and the second act is Anu Yadav with a one-act play called "Capers".

Daniel Nainan: Quite possibly the only half South Asian and half East Asian comedian in the world, Dan Nainan is the son of a nuclear physics professor from South Asia and a child psychologist from East Asia. A classical pianist since age two, he went on to tour with a rock band in California while working for Capitol Records in Hollywood. Dan has performed at comedy clubs, concerts and special events all over America, including such exotic locations as Honolulu, Hawaii and Sydney, Australia. He recently appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing", and he does voice-over work, including character and announcer voices, on radio stations all over the country. He will soon be hosting a series on local cable television, and recently tried out (unsuccessfully) for a small part as an Indian motel owner on the HBO television series "The Sopranos." www.nainan.com

Anu Yadav: Across the country, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is razing the most blighted public housing buildings in favor of new mixed income dwellings that will include public housing units, market rate properties and office rental space. The nation's capital is no exception. On the Anacostia waterfront in Southeast, the D.C. Housing Authority in cooperation with private developers is in the midst of a $424 million redevelopment that will demolish the Arthur Capper Carrollsburg projects. What will happen to the thousands who live in the project's 707 units is at the heart of a battle between affordable housing activists and the housing authority.
